Sales jobs: Family holidays are more popular
People searching for sales jobs could be interested in the recent rise in popularity of traditional family holidays as more people look to enjoy time together despite the recession.
Kate Kenward, executive director at the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO), said that families will continue to look abroad during the downturn, which could be good news for tourism sales jobs.
She said: "Despite the recession, families are still looking forward to and booking their holidays as they realise it's impossible to put a price on the value of a relaxing break, whether overseas or in the UK."
The director added that families looking to get away should make sure that there will be activities available to cater for all the brood.
Her comments follow research from travel provider HolidayExtras.com which found that 42 per cent of their customers think spending time with family is the best thing about going on holiday.
